HOW TO USE IT
Separate elapsed time from counted hours
Enter each start and end time as it appears in your own record. Choose “Next day” only if that shift crosses midnight. Subtract only the unpaid break minutes you intend to exclude; a paid break should remain in the counted total.
Decimal hours make comparison easier: 8 hours 30 minutes is 8.5 hours, not 8.30. The two entries are independent and should not overlap. For a shift during a clock change, check actual elapsed time separately because this worksheet uses local clock labels.
A WORKED EXAMPLE
09:00–13:00 plus 17:00–22:00, with a 30-minute unpaid break in the second shift, totals 8.5 hours.
This worksheet does not determine overtime, wage rules or payroll entitlement.
