HOW TO USE IT
One list, with quantities you can still check
Type one supply per line with a vertical bar between its name, quantity and unit. Repeated names and units combine even if capitalization differs. A sheet and a piece stay separate because the tool cannot know how many pieces are on your sheet.
Use a specific name when sizes differ, such as “small felt pads” and “large felt pads.” Before shopping, check your existing supplies and the manufacturer’s fit and use instructions. The output is a planning list, not a determination that a particular product is suitable for a repair.
A WORKED EXAMPLE
Felt pads | 8 | pieces plus Felt pads | 4 | pieces becomes Felt pads: 12 pieces.
The tool does not identify hazards, assess a home or certify that a repair is safe.
